I'm curious how they plan on complying with US security law. This is 1000% a security offering, and KYC/AML is a pain.

@nickabouzeid hi, you can check it out yourself on the site, it includes KYC and everything indeed; it's real equity in real underlying assets

@nickabouzeid @betashop are offering KYC solutions that are relatively straightforward: https://medium.com/simple-token/introducing-ostkyc-the-complete-kyc-whitelisting-solution-for-icos-powered-by-ost-8027728df59d

I think we are likely to see more of these solutions emerge.

There has been a lot of chatter about whether this is a good initiative or not... also apparently (OH on Telegram) that 500 startups aren't partnering with them, more advising on an unofficial basis.

What’s your background and what are you working on?

@bentossell there are many companies and founders involved in the 22x fund; each company is working on a different product, most of the companies have revenue

How did you get into Crypto?

Ruth Polachek
@bentossell again, this depends on the company and founder; I myself used to run Citibank'a Accelerator and have been in FinTech for a while; the idea came up over drinks at the first week of Batch 22 of 500 Startups Accelerator program, when one of the companies, Cryptomover (which offers an index for crypto) suggested 'why don't we create an index for the entire batch of companies.

How and why did you launch this ?
0
Ruth Polachek
@bentossell it has been a joint effort of many of the founders, we've been working on it for months; we wanted a way to stay together also after the batch was over, and to do something revolutionary along the way

What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced and obstacles you’ve overcome? If you had to start over, what would you do differently?

Ruth Polachek
@bentossell there were too many to list here :-) we probably would have done most of the things roughly the same... it has been an incredible journey
