How Many Bitcoins Are Permanently Lost? Bitcoin’s whitepaper, which recently turned 11 years old, is so concise that it makes only a passing mention of supply: Once a predetermined number of coins have entered circulation, the incentive can transition entirely to transaction fees and be completely inflation free.
Such a dumb comment. By the day every BTC is “lost” every human will most likely be lost also............
This is how dumb people think. If on average, .00001 BTC is lost per day, there will be no BTC left by year 194573059.
I think the idea that you can lose all your bitcoin is a big hurdle for average Joe adoption. The majority of people will need to know there money is insured is some way.
(Also I get that banks don’t actually have all your money waiting for you on a safe and that I have significant investment in bitcoin)
