What are the best foundational blockchain gaming resources for non-technicals interested in the future of this industry?

How can a non-technical get involved today?

@JmeStn There is a telegram group where we talk about the future of gaming on the blockchain https://t.me/cryptogamegroup

How does Loom Network complement Ethereum Blockchain?
2
Matthew Campbell
@DilankaMcLovin By enabling things like ERC721 tokens, think crypto kitties, to be used on side chains in mobile games. Imagine a Pokemon type battle game with Crypto collectibles

Where did the idea of CryptoZombies come from?
1
Matthew Campbell
@bentossell We are all rails devs, long time ago there with was rails for zombies. It got a lot of people started. We wanted the same revolution for solidity and blockchain

What else is in the pipeline to help people learn about blockchain?

Matthew Campbell
@bentossell http://delegatecall.com/what-is-blockchain Its a tutorial for your friends that know nothing about the blockchain

If you were forced to go into battle--- Who would you rather fight? 1-horse sized Vitalik Buterin OR 100-duck sized Vitalik Buterin's?
1
Matthew Campbell
@DilankaMcLovin Duh the horse sized ones, ducks are vicious and vengeful

Hey, can you tell us some of your expectation for loom token except the membership tier? I believe Loom Network is a outstanding project, but I still not get the value of loom token.
0
Matthew Campbell
@WinterDoD We have a token FAQ here https://medium.com/@jamesmartinduffy/loom-token-faqs-you-got-questions-we-got-answers-2d3c9185b4d0 . Also we will have developer tiers for using our Loom SDK that will require more tokens to be used

Aleksandr Gavrilov
you can provide information about how it works ? ( Dpos )

Aleksandr Gavrilov
when can I see the algorithm Dpos ?

Do you have any advice on how to get a great crypto startup funded so we can take it from side project to full-time?
0
Matthew Campbell
@Sean-Papanikolas I think make a useful product and its easy to get funding in this market. Most companies are focused on TPS numbers and not something that makes peoples lives better or easier

Sean Papanikolas
Do you have any technical advice regarding the creation of ERC20 tokens? How many should be created? Should it be arbitrary, tied to a mathematical formula, or something else?
0
Matthew Campbell
@Sean-Papanikolas Really it doesn't matter, we chose 1 billion. With 18 decimal places it doesn't matter much. You dont want to make it to big where a single token is worth less then 1 cent

Brian Jenkins
What do you think the biggest blocker is to getting more people involved in Crypto/Blockchain? What will be the one or two things that brings it to people who are hesitant to get involved now? And how do you see LOOM as a difference maker in that process?
0
Matthew Campbell
@bdeanjenkins End user experience. Entering private keys and handling gas needs to be a better experience. We think dAppchains are going to improve this a lot with removing gas and transparent signing of transactions

With tools like Loom now solving for scalability, what will the next wave of blockchain games look like?
0
Matthew Campbell
@mcu11inan we have Dpos side chains that are ideal for mobile games check out about our sdk https://medium.com/loom-network/loom-network-sdk-alpha-release-first-5-dappchains-announced-sdk-roadmap-1dddec789004

Dennis Stücken
Do you plan to extend your learning resources to non-game development?
0
Matthew Campbell
@dstuecken @dstuecken Yeah we will definitely take this into consideration. I think open zeppelin has a lot of these, but would be good to see some demos with them.
0
Matthew Campbell
@dstuecken yeah definitely. I think a lot of cryptoxombies is applicable to all blockchain apps in solidity. However we do want to get some tutorials on social apps. Anything specific you are looking for you ?
0
Dennis Stücken
@dstuecken @kanwisher There are several resources and tutorials I can think of: Might be interesting to have some examples and explanations of how to technically implement some well known practices like token burns, air drops, buybacks, coinflips, bounty claims etc.
Also: a step-by-step guide on how to implement an ICO-ready token would be awesome, from development to bringing it into production.

Peter Mbele
Hi Matt, do you think games going the ICO route is good/bad for cryptogames? And also, do you forsee games on the blockchain that are more than just games but have a real social impact being a thing? (by social impact it could range from raising money for water in some african countries, etc while playing a game)
0
Matthew Campbell
@p3t3_r3c0n I think preselling special game items Kickstarter style is better for most game companies then an ICO

Aleksandr Gavrilov
Hello . when do you plan to give information about master nodes ?
0
Matthew Campbell
@Aleksandr-Gavrilov No master nodes, dPos networks have validators instead that are user electable
