@bentossell 1. Crypto market is a market. As a market, there is risk for investment. 2. Crypto is a tech. Market pumps and dumps, the tech stays. If you have tech background, learning Crypto technology will benefit you from the long run.
@bentossell As a veteran in crypto, I have witness many things happening in this area. What happens for the past 3 months is very similar with what happened in 2013. My mind didn't change too much, but I am surprised by how people react to the market in such a irrational way.
@bentossell Given more than 7 years of experience in this industry, I believe prediction market is one of the killer app that is feasible and necessary to be built on top of blockchain. However, there are no working decentralized prediction market yet. And no project is focused on building this for China. Bodhi is targeting to be the first fully decentralized DApp. Bodhi was founded in May 2017. We announced Bodhi in June. Had pre-ICO in August. Refund in September due to China ICO ban. Had IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) in November. Launch Bodhi beta on QTUM testnet on December. And we are working hard to launch Bodhi on mainnet within next month.
@Xingjian-Wu Given the current status of Blockchain, there are many limitations such as long block time, small block size and low computation capability, blockchain is not capable to do everything. Given more than 7 years of experience in this industry, I believe prediction market is one of the killer app that is feasible and necessary to be built on top of blockchain.
@Yin-Li We are familiar with Chinese market and prediction market is culturally sensitive and we think different culture and language deserve to have its own prediction market.
As more users around the world access the Internet from mobile devices rather than desktop computers, mobile computing will be increasingly important to prediction markets. Qtum combines the advantages of Bitcoin and Ethereum to provide better user experience on mobile devices. Event forecasting is also a very time-sensitive matter, which poses a problem for smart contracts since they rely on the number of blocks to estimate the time. Ethereum has also not implemented Proof-of-Stake (PoS). As the Difficulty Bomb of Ethereum’s current Proof-of-Work (PoW) starts to take effect, the block time is increasing which affects the estimated time of the forecast. Qtum introduced PoS at the beginning of its release and ensured the stability of the block time. Bodhi was first deployed onto Qtum to avoid existing problems with Ethereum. However, as the user base grows, we might roll out Bodhi onto other public blockchains.
@Sam-Suh To enable a fully decentralized prediction market, it needs to incentive users to govern the platform by voting. Bodhi Token holders define who are the owner of Bodhi prediction market, and who have permission to control the system.
@Sam-Suhhttps://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bodhi/#markets has a list of all of the current exchanges that you can trade BOT. We are always working with exchanges to try to get BOT listed on more places.
@Sam-Suh Bodhi has been in testnet alpha since December of 2017. We are getting ready to launch the alpha on the Qtum mainnet very soon. Please look forward for it.
@KatherineZuo Bodhi is the only one with a product ready to be launched on a mainnet, to use real tokens for trading. We have a much faster development cycle than others in this space. We are also built on the Qtum blockchain.
@Sam-Suh Please see the other responses, but generally, we are always looking to add the Bodhi Token to more exchanges. We have added a few more recently, and are working with many exchanges to get Bodhi tokens tradeable.
@Sam-Suh We are always speaking with more exchanges to get BOT tokens listed. We will make a stronger effort in the English market to make Bodhi better known in the community. We are also working with Qtum community to make Bodhi project more well known, and making a stronger presence in blockchain conferences and events.

I HAVE READ THE WHITE PAPEE BUT I'M SCEPTICAL ON BODHI'S CAPABILITY TO OUTCOMPETE AUGUR, GNOSIS AND STOX, DOES ANYONE SHARE MY THOUGHT?
@Sam-Suh Yes, but it was quite a journey. We began the ICO in September of last year, and raised $12 million in presale, primarily in China. But then China banned ICO so we refunded all of the $12 Million. We then worked directly with exchanges to make Bodhi tokens available at a fixed price, and were able to distribute Bodhi tokens in that manner.
@Sam-Suh We are always looking to partner with more exchanges and get Bodhi tokens listed on more exchanges. We recently listed on Cobinhood after winning a community vote. We also got listed on Coinrail, and will announce more listings as they become available.
You can't use myehterwallet because BOT is a QTUM blockchain based token. We recommend you use Qtum official core wallet, or Qbao wallet (https://qbao.fund/)
The most critical difference between Augur and Bodhi is that we have totally different Oracle system. Bodhi abstracts centralized Oracle and decentralized Oracle, and make Oracle replaceable if anyone wants to dispute the previous result. We are building in-blockchain consensus so called Proof of Agreement to govern Bodhi platform.
Bodhi offers the benefits of a decentralized prediction market through its innovative “replaceable oracle” mechanism, allowing users to create new prediction events and ensuring trust in the result. The use of third-party oracles allows Bodhi to ensure fairness, increase participation, and significantly lower fees when compared to traditional prediction market systems. In contrast to centralized oracles, the “replaceable oracle” mechanism facilitates reliable outcomes regardless of which party is set as the initial oracle. The Bodhi platform incentivizes BOT token holders to participate in the voting process to correct a false oracle and simultaneously penalize the false oracle.
