"There will be so much evolution in this space. Everything that is an asset right now could have representation as a crypto asset at some point in the future." Rewatch my @CNN segment from this morning: https://t.co/8c2GALbSvI
Interviewer is not an expert and is trying to manufacture controversy. What V said is that 1000x growth for crypto from here is highly unlikely. Anyone capable of mulitplying and comparing the product to total global wealth today would have to agree. He explains and clarifies the statement on Twitter.

Thank youuuu. Bugged me so much. You could tell Joe was frustrated with the comparison.
It seems to take a long time for people to understand what people like Joe Lubin are saying. Tech just can't seem to bring it down to our level. I'm hoping that a reporter will emerge who can bridge the gap. There are so many issues that I would like to understand better. One example is what the differences between Joe and Vitalik are, and why those differences exist.

2:34: No, Vitalik didn't say that we hit the ceiling for growth as the interviewer declared. There is no disagreement between Vitalik and Joseph. The interviewer badly misinterpreted Vitalik's position. He said we will not see days (maybe weeks maybe a year) of 1000x growth. Doesn't sound unreasonable. Does Joseph really disagree with Vitalik and thinks we should expect to see days of 1000x growth again?
Not really. Stable coins on the Ethereum chain will use Ether for transactions. The other question is, what is this a precursor to? Vitalik and others have always said that Ether was never intended to be the day to day currency, and that stablecoins would serve that purpose much better. Let's see where this goes. The ones who have been here from the beginning and understand the road map will come to their own conclusions.
Is ‘New to crypto’, has browsed crypto-related subs and is now an expert on market sentiment while calling ‘end of crypto’.
The bear cub population is exploding at the moment, shorts at ATH, subs full of negativity... it will be interesting to see how the next few months pan out.

People on crypto subs are the bottom of the barrel. Crypto isn't, and never will be dead it will only continue to grow, anyone who understands it even a little bit knows that.
Yeah I have no idea when it'll happen but I think we'll have some slow (for crypto, still crazy fast in the stock market) growth for a while, maybe with some mini run-ups and declines here and there, while the rest of the world has nearly forgotten all about it. then we start approaching some previous ATH and then more people get interested, and eventually we'll start seeing some crazy price action again and then it'll be on everyone's mind but "this time it'll be different!" They'll say things like "oh nooooowww I get the HODL thing, had I held last time I'd be in profit today! I'll actually hold this time, I totally don't think crypto is a scam anymore!" And then we'll have the general public FOMOing in again, and I think we know the rest from there. This last bubble made a lot of the public aware of crypto, but didn't really teach them much about it and the percentage of people who actually put significant money in wasn't very big. It'll be considerably higher next time.
he said he didn't see 1000x growth based on marketing/PR Alone anymore!! that is what he said
in other words the next phase of getting all of you to go DEEPER and use apps, etc is really going to drive day to day traction and growth
OR the greatest at Public Relations. I call these last couple true gaffes that have greatly damaged investors' holdings. What a shitty "Foot Shooting ETH Week."
So much going right with the progress of the project, but the more greatness that comes about, the more the price shoots down. Goddamnit. What happened to tact?
Actually its smarter to get out because of the fact there are many inexperienced investors. Do you really want to hodl and watch all these guys dump it to $80? Or would you rather get out now, knowing they are gonna drag the price down and then get in at the bottom when they are done?
He threatened to leave because of sharting jokes, he tweeted "I don’t see legalizing possession of child porn as more radical than heroin" and that censorship is great if "good guys" are in control but I guess i'm not smart enough to see through these brilliant PR moves
