I think it is hilarious that many women journalist all think they can pull a Sara Palin and run for office lacking the requisite intellect, knowledge base, experience, etc. It is akin to one of the misplaced female TV football announcers deciding that they can play in the NFL or at a Div 1 school because they did some lame human interest pieces during the timeouts.
11 others in one House race? Jeez, why don’t they just hand the election her? I would hope that Democrats are learning a lesson about clown car elections. (In all seriousness hopefully the field will winnow down. Incumbents have a big advantage and more than 2 viable candidates in a primary would pretty much seal their fate).
This is a good thing. It lets liberals and centrists waste their money trying to cut off the head of a popular dragon they have no chance of defeating. When she wins against their millions in advertising it'll only make her into a bigger and stronger hero. AOC is smart, popular and sincere, and she could be president someday with little effort if she wants it.
What did Trump call her? I remember he said something like, "She doesn't have an attractive face. Her face, it's just not good looking" or something. Here it is:
> 'Look at that face!' he cries. 'Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!'
Uh, ok? He wasn't a Democrat when he was governor of California and said
"What we need is an epidemic of botulism" in regards to a food drive for homeless people.
And he wasn't a Democrat when he was president and ignored the AIDS crisis. Or the Iran-Contra affair. Or implementing trickle down (sorry, supply side economics). Or when he eliminated federal mental health funds. And all the other crap he did.
