Hi, Prediction markets are still our core product. We are working on a full-redesign of Apollo, our v1.0 prediction market smart contract repository. You can read more about our progress on this blog post: [https://blog.gnosis.pm/prediction-markets-2-0-teaser-4ee1cfa3d61f](https://blog.gnosis.pm/prediction-markets-2-0-teaser-4ee1cfa3d61f)
These unique properties position the DutchX mechanism as a cryptoeconomic primitive for #DeFi (decentralized finance) networks. Most prominent examples of #DeFi projects, such as MakerDAO or b0X, require:
A reliable price feed that can trigger margin calls.
A market mechanism for larger market orders in case of liquidation.
Hi! Thanks for pointing out. We will no longer use the abbreviation REP as it seems to cause a lot of confusion. What was referred to as REP is "reputation" to vote on the DAO.
Regarding your second question, reputation is not a token and is non-transferrable, so it will never be listed on any exchange.
AFAIK, this Rep is not a tradable token. It is stuck to a specific account that has earned it.

That's kind of a dick move. There's no way they didn't know what they were doing.

This will be a DAOStack DAO. In each DAOStack DAO all stakeholders have "reputation" - a score that determines how much voting right you have. Reputation is not a token and not transferable. DAOStack used this wording long before we (Gnosis) cooperated with them for the dxDAO.
We however do understand that this causes confusion and thus we will not longer use the abbreviation REP and make it more clear that this is not a token.
Pretty childish to name the token REP. Why try to deliberately confuse people?
Edited to add: Actually I like the DutchX protocol a lot as a concept. Actually trying out radical decentralization is also praiseworthy, even though it obviously has a lot of risks. But you need to take some risks for innovation.
But still, trying to confuse things between Augur's token and this token made me respond negatively to the whole post. I'm sure I'm not the only one. It doesn't reflect well on Gnosis to try tricks like this.
sorry about that.
DAOStack DAOs are reputation based DAOs. You have voting rights according to your reputation (score). Reputation is NOT A TOKEN (it is not transferrable). I guess since we never perceived it as a token we did not perceived a "name collusion". But I agree, it adds unnecessary confusion. We will at least no longer use the abbreviation REP and instead use "reputation" and make it more clear that it is not a token.
Yes, I'm pretty sure REP in this case is referring to reputation that's assigned to users in each DAOstack dao. In fact I think reputation in a DAOstack dao is not a transferable token - just used for vote weighting.
