Has liquid been marketed to the target audience (e.g. exchanges) at all?
Was it built around a use case that has demand, or built with the assumption that certain institutions would adopt it?
Because it looks like this product that has (apparently) had millions in investment has just been quietly pushed out. It mostly has a bunch of 6$ open and close transactions. I'd expect more activity on a testnet application.
Lighting network is a smoke screen to delay showing the hand of blockstream. What they really want to do is liquid but they couldn't do it first without at least an attempt to scale via the over complicated and unnecessary lightning network.
