I created new wallet in version 0.16.3 and added new address in the Receiving addresses menu.
Then I tried to sign message with this new address...
But I get an error:
The entered address does not refer to a key. Please check the address and try again.
Is it a bug?
Great work with the release! I wish you could add a section to encourage people to verify signed hashes, with a link to a quick HOWTO. The people who create the releases create a signed set of hashes, and it would be good to get more people verifying these downloads with GPG. You never know when Litecoin.org will get hacked. It's always smart to help the userbase develop good habits. At least that's what I think. Sorry if this sounds preachy.
A denial-of-service vulnerability (CVE-2018–17144) exploitable by miners has been discovered in Litecoin Core versions 0.14.0 up to 0.16.2. It is recommended to upgrade any of the vulnerable versions to 0.16.3 as soon as possible.
