After several months of work OpenBazaar version 2.3 has been released. This is a major release which contains significant changes to how the OpenBazaar wallet functions. Because of the major changes in this release, we highly recommend you backup your OpenBazaar data before you update.
I haven't looked at open bazaar in about a year. I really liked the concept but had to wade through hundreds of listings for pointless items and found very little of value on there. Is there good products on there now? I am hoping that this will one day be very popular.
I treat any market that doesn't at the least have a Monero payment option as compromised by the state. Of course optimum is mandatory Monero only if you truly care about your customers' privacy and safety.
Simply supporting alts was sacrilege to the maximalists, even though OB was the first to adopt segwit and Bech32 out of ANY wallet or even the full node itself. They will also be integrating LN.
It was forced to adopt alts when tx fees skyrocketed which demolished use of the platform.
Bisq is geared toward currency exchange while OB is for goods/services. They have always been friendly with each other. Yet now OB is dabbling in currency exchange.
i dont get it why you are adding shitcoins to your multiwallet feature.
I hope you know that it is possible to trace all transactions in bitcoin, bitcoin cash, litecoin, ethereum and zcash? (nobody is using shielded transactions in zcash - and with the trusted ceremony, nobody wants to use zcash anyway)
Monero is the only cryptocurrency thats private and untracable.
So at the end Bitcoin & Monero is the real deal, these are the only true cryptocurrencies that matters, everything else is a shitcoin.
I've heard that someone is working on an XMR API-based wallet that would allow integration into OpenBazaar. I hope that rumor is true.
Zcash is in there now, though it only supports t-addresses at the moment.
We don't just follow commands. Supporting new coins takes work and other coin communities have helped while Dash has not. With this new release it's easier to support new coins and Dash is on the shortlist of options.
>Yes they have.
You're just saying this, where is your source?
>BTW has Dash funded a merge.
Why should dash fund a merge if they're going to add other coins that are much less used than Dash for free? That attitude seems spiteful and punitive. Don't you guys care about cryptocurrency adoption? Why are you trying to hinder dash's growth as much as possible? You guys are enemies just like the bankers are.
Its clear both by your unusually aggressive demeanor and the consistent refusal to add Dash that there is a competitive (or anti-competitive rather) reason for ignoring us. Dash is a fork of BTC so it is easier to add than other coins like Monero. Yet when people talk about adding it there's nobody coming out of the wood works making excuses for why they should 'do it themselves', **even though Monero requires the most work out of any coin!** You guys are being hypocrites and lying about it. Dash is also more widely used than Bitcoin Cash or ZCash and WAY MORE than Monero on a daily basis. So instead of being aggressive maybe you should question why OB is ignoring a very large, prominent cryptocurrency.
The reason Monero requires more work to integrate is because it is more secure, more decentralised, more private(in spite of what we know you're going to say to that) and in general a better currency for an open market. Dash is good for certain things. Not open free markets that's why no darknet markets accept it.
Can you define an "XMR API-based wallet" in more detail? On of the Monero developers (u/rbrunner7) also asked for more details, but alas did not receive a response.
Remembering the controversy regarding that Dwarfpool operator reeking in donations for this. The whole XMR environment is tainted.
Zcash I personally would **never** even touch on a ten foot long pole. Compiled the software, seen the dependencies.
Not to mention all the people who've been stolen from using Mymonero.
