Pretty good self reflection but they missed the most obvious reason: all of their effort and money would have been way better spent by contributing to Augur itself, especially on UX. It’s my biggest deception in the whole crypto space, instead of helping good ideas take off people insist on starting their own thing.
Excited to see what the team is up to next! If augur is successful I do think you were spot on that there is a need for a trusted party reviewing the markets. Leveraging the centralized but not regulated area is likely fraught with risky grey area. Maybe augur needs some sort of ability for market participants to review if the market resolved the way they thought it would or not.
