Get behind this effort, everyone. @brucefenton, one of various crypto community leaders who've been vocally calling for action from early on, is showing how ingenuity can help address core COVID19 problems with limited resources. Help - with funds, with expertise, however you can https://t.co/cPWjngFAaa
sorry, but your last 8 posts have been this exact link to various subreddits. It's also not specific to the Midwest. Maybe post in a few general covid subreddits, but not in area specific ones where we're trying to get information specific to our locale.
I went for far reaching? Are you a mod? Why are you gatekeeping this? It is a national emergency. I don’t want to debate this with you so either report it or stop it. There are many people in the Midwest. They know lots of people. If we don’t get this sorted many will die.
I did report it. It goes directly against rule #5. The mods will ultimately decide and as its their choice. I just don't like flooding subreddits dedicated to specific regions with general covid information. It makes it harder for important regional news to be heard.
It's an extremely big job to turn a car manufacturer into a ventilator manufacturer. In WW2 time was the factor so you could just throw more people at it. Throwing more people at this problem only makes it worse. Some companies are switching what they make, but that's usually because it's close to what they're doing now. Also ventilators are complex machines to build, you can't just give them some schematics and tell them to get to work.
Musk himself is saying they could make ventilators, I'd be happy to be wrong.
