Not fudding as I have omg bags and happy to see Mainer - but can anyone explain the risks to decentralization with the OMG side chain working on POA mentioned in the article? Or is there really no risk? I mean, I hear proof of authority and I think ripple and the like. Honestly trying to catch up on all the OMG news of late.
Is the balance data on-chain? Doesn't look like it, so it's suspectible to the data availability problem.
Given that the gas cost is higher than one per one loopring trade with full data availability, zksnarks appear to be a superior solution.
They offer a separate network for data availability. My understanding is they also can accommodate data on-chain (presumably using calldata?) this just puts a cap on throughput, whereas without throughput is theoretically unlimited.
