Interesting, the question in my head is can the general public see that someone has been tipped. If thats the case were talking about millions of users seeing Bitcoin tips going to people every single day. Its one thing for people to ponder about Bitcoin in their heads, its another thing for them to see it being used. Could drive adoption.
By the way Twitter is still enabling the tipping (they had to give the extension access and meet them half way into making it functional) but I understand what youre saying....its not a Twitter in house application.

Got it. Jack Dorsey was talking on the Joe Rogan podcast about how Bitcoin lightning tips were coming to Twitter so I figured he had his hand in it.
^ I think he talks about Twitter tipping in this one (he talks about both Twitter and Square using Bitcoin). If not its in the full interview.
Wow, probably the biggest news of the past 2 years and its brigade downvoted. Either traders who want a better entry (as if it could be better in the grand scheme of things), or "competing" coins. Time to grow up a bit on this sub, good news in adoption lifts all boats.
Anyway, this is huge, its going to let the average joe get exposure to Bitcoin and normalize crypto transactions.
Come on dude, did you even read the article? OPs headline is misleading at best and just plain incorrect. This is actually a chrome extension, and nothing to do with twitter itself enabling bitcoin tipping. But at least it sounds like native lightning-network bitcoin tips will be coming to twitter soon enough based on what Jack Dorsey is saying.
